IDBC hosts several events throughout the year to promote Indonesian Diaspora businesses and help them connect with each other. One of the event includes the President Joko Widodo visit to Silicon Valley on 17 February 2016 after participating in the two-day US-ASEAN Summit in California. During the visit he met with Twitter CEO and Co-founder Jack Dorsey as well as Plug and Play CEO and Founder Saeed Amidi.
